About Us
The Media Arts specialism has been a powerful tool in raising levels of achievement and the use of digital technology permeates all areas of the curriculum and has played a significant role in the development of active learning and innovative teaching.
The Applied Learning Specialism allows students to learn in innovative and authentic ways. As part of the changes to the timing of the school day, students now have the opportunity to use their time for various new and diverse activities.
The school has consistently achieved high standards over many years and 2008 was no exception. Attainment at the end of Key Stage 3 was securely above average overall. The pupils make good progress overall at Key Stage 3 and this is a sound foundation for making even greater progress at Key Stage 4, where attainment is exceptionally high. The proportion of all pupils gaining five GCSE passes at A*-C has been over 80% for the last three years.
